February 14, 2011 by The Man

The next version of Wake on Lan for iOS will include the ability to upload and download the bookmarks database to Dropbox

This will make it easy to backup the database and transfer it to other iOS devices, OS X and in the future Android and other devices.

  2. Wake On Lan – iPhone Speech Recognition !!!

December 22, 2010 by The Man

Well have been working on this today. Not sure if it’s a feature I would add to the finished product but it does work.

If you (don’t) want to see it in the next version let me know in the comments.

December 14, 2010 by The Man

I have 7 codes to give away for my Wake On Lan iPhone App. First come first serve. Leave a comment and hopefully if you used the right email address I will email you a code.

Don’t forget to give us a review, good or bad, on the app store.

    UPDATE: ALL GONE

  4. WoL Monitor a hit ?

December 4, 2010 by The Man

Well the numbers are in for the first two days. To say I am a bit shocked would be an understatement as it seems 199 people thought it was an app they needed. This is strange as my WoL sender app gets about 6 downloads a day and has been live a month, clocking up 239 downloads so far.

Looks like people want to monitor WoL more than they want to send WoL magic packets 🙂

  5. WoL Monitor for iPad and iPhone

December 2, 2010 by The Man

Well I has to make a video for Apple so you might as well see it as well.

Wake On Lan Monitor from Brian Slack on Vimeo.

Just a short video of my Wake On Lan monitor in action. No Oscars for this one.

  6. Wake On Lan hits controversy and 1.4

December 1, 2010 by The Man

Some people are not happy with me using analytics to see how you use the app and on what devices. Nothing nefarious it was just Google analytics for the iPhone which told me what buttons you pressed most.

BUT if your not happy then I’m not happy. So I have removed all of it.

I have also fixed a bug that would crash the app on 3.1.3 and lower devices. As ever should be live in about a week.
