Blants (noun) the rants of a blogger

  1. Getting Wheezy Beta running on the Raspberry Pi from OS X

July 11, 2012 by The Man

Download the beta. Pop in your card

    sudo dd bs=1m if=wheezy.img of=/dev/disk1

where wheezy.img is the unzipped image file – I renamed because I am lazy and there is less typing involved 🙂

/dev/disk1 is the name of the SD card without the s1.

It does take AGES to write.

You can also update the firmware by grabbing it from here and following instructions here.

  2. Checking Apache logs with your tail….

This is more so I can remember and copy/paste when I need it but this is how to check what is currently happening in the access or error logs.

    tail -f /var/log/apache2/access.log

    tail -f /var/log/apache2/error.log
